We're the caretakers of a heritage listed blue stone cottage in the Eden Valley, built in the late 1800s and sitting on 38 acres of native bush and old vines. From cuttings off those neighbouring vineyards we've planted three small blocks, which give us our "Home of the Dero" Syrah, and we grow black and white truffles under French and English oak, hazelnut and stone pines. The rest is grazing for our sheep, a dodgy motorbike jump or two, and whatever animals my wife decides to adopt.
