Eden Valley - Garden of Grapes & Gums
This is our second release of this stunning ancient 1895 Eden Valley treasure, ‘Vinegarden’.
The entire vineyard consists of just nine rows, nestled atop a hill in the highest part of the vineyard. It was planted by the ancestors of the current custodian Mark Bartholomaeus and is still in family hands today.
We carefully hand harvest these old beauties in three separate picks over a five-week period, from 12.2 to 14.8° Baumé, to maximize the complexity these tiny yields have to offer.
The winemaking process requires very little from us, we simply help it along. In our opinion, it’s a pretty serious, aromatic offering of fruit purity with a vibrant long, tighty structured finish - Pure Eden Valley.
