Eden Valley - Garden of Grapes & Gums
 
2024 is our first release of this stunning circa 1895 Ancestor Vine Eden Valley treasure we call Vinegarden.
 
We had our eye on this site for several years. And finally, through our local connections such as being a member of the Eden Valley CFS, joining the mighty Eden Valley "B Grade" cricket team, and attending local meetings and gatherings. In good time we managed to get our hands on a little. This vineyard was a major quality contributor to our 2023 wine. Now in 2024 onwards we finally have enough to feature as a single vineyard release and not sacrifice the quality of the Dero blend.
 
Our Vinegarden label features the original Eden Valley welcoming sign that was in place when we first drove into Eden Valley. Since that time the design of the sign has unfortunately changed. Now that very same sign depicted on our label stands at the gate on the driveway opposite our Vinegarden Vineyard!

We hand harvested and fermented this vineyard in three separate picks over a five-week period. From 11.8 to 14.5 Baume. To express the unique layers of the site. To us it does a dance of elegance and intensity. They are gnarly old vines that know exactly what to do and require very little input from us.
