Our 2024 Chardonnay is a ripper.
 
After being introduced to a top Chardonnay grower, we were fortunate to jag a tiny parcel of super-premium fruit high up in Flaxman Valley.
 
The fruit was whole-bunch basket pressed, then put into a seasoned barrique where it underwent a spontaneous barrel ferment (and made a big mess on the floor!). With occasional lees stirring, it spent 12 months on full fermentation solids before being racked to tank and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
 
Just one barrique — 272 bottles.
 
It’s a concentrated, full-bodied fruit driven style with that old-school Chardonnay feel and weight. Drinking beautifully now, with medium-term cellaring potential.
